As a Project Manager, you will take ownership of project delivery across engineering and development programmes, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high technical standard. The Project Manager will also play an important role in building strong client relationships while supporting the development of colleagues within the wider team.
The Opportunity:
As a Project Manager you will play a key role in:
- Leading multidisciplinary project teams to deliver engineering and development projects on time and within budget
- Managing project contracts, variations and commercial performance to protect project outcomes and minimise risk
- Overseeing project programmes, site visits, surveys and subcontractor engagement to ensure efficient delivery
- Supporting tender submissions, preparing cost estimates and contributing to new business opportunities
- Mentoring and supporting junior colleagues while promoting collaboration and strong team performance
- Your work will directly contribute to the successful delivery of major infrastructure and engineering programmes that support the UK’s future energy and development needs
About You:
We are looking for someone who can bring:
- A degree in engineering, town planning or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
- At least five years experience in transmission and distribution design, infrastructure planning or a similar environment
- Strong project leadership skills with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary technical teams
- Experience managing programmes, budgets and client relationships within complex project environments
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with colleagues, clients and stakeholders
- Desirable experience includes Development Consent Order projects, overhead line or cable design, substation design, NEC contract knowledge or professional chartership
