This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges and contributing to the design of reliable power generation solutions used across a variety of industries.

The Electrical Design Engineer will join a friendly, professional and highly collaborative engineering team where ideas are shared and expertise is valued. Alongside core project delivery, the Electrical Design Engineer will also have the opportunity to contribute to exciting research and development initiatives that explore new technologies and innovative approaches within power generation systems.

The Opportunity:
As an Electrical Design Engineer you will play a key role in:
  • Designing detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and control system layouts for generator and power generation applications
  • Integrating components such as Automatic Transfer Switches, synchronising panels and generator control modules into robust electrical systems
  • Producing clear, traceable engineering documentation aligned with ISO 9001 quality management practices
  • Supporting validation and testing activities including Factory Acceptance Testing and load bank testing
  • Contributing to innovation and continuous improvement through involvement in research and development projects
  • Your work will directly contribute to the delivery of reliable, compliant and forward thinking power generation solutions.
About You:
We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer who can bring:
  • A degree, HNC or HND in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Experience in electrical design within power generation, heavy machinery or a similar engineering environment
  • Proficiency using electrical design software such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN or SolidWorks Electrical
  • Understanding of generator control systems, protection systems and electrical fault finding principles
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative engineering team
  • Experience working within ISO 9001 or a regulated engineering environment would be beneficial.
