The Opportunity:
As a CNC Machinist you will play a key role in:
Setting up CNC lathes by interpreting engineering drawings and selecting the correct tooling, fixtures and attachments
Programming or modifying CNC programs where required to support efficient and accurate production
Operating CNC turning machines while adjusting speeds, feeds and tooling to ensure precision machining
Inspecting completed components to ensure they meet required specifications and quality standards
Supporting machine upkeep through routine maintenance, cleaning, lubrication and tool changes
Your work will directly contribute to the consistent production of high quality precision engineered components that support a busy and growing manufacturing operation.
About You:
We are looking for a CNC Machinist who can bring:
A completed Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or CNC specific apprenticeship
Experience operating CNC turning machines, although candidates with CNC milling experience are also encouraged to apply
The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical instructions
Experience working with machinery, tooling and production equipment in a manufacturing environment
Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills with a commitment to quality
A flexible approach to working early and late rotating shifts when required
