Assisting with the weekly/month/quarter/year end financial submissions and ensuring timely and accurate reporting, you will play an important part within the finance team.
About the role:
As the Accountant, your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Ensure timelines are met efficiently and effectively, producing accurate reports
- Work closely with other internal departments as well as external auditors
- Produce weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports on management accounts
- Make investigations and interrogate data, making suggestions on improvements and creative solutions, whilst making the information relatable to non-finance functions
- P&L reporting and sales and margin analysis
- create budgets and accurate forecasting
- Lead the cash flow management for the business and provide insights
- Responsible for expense postings, income accruals, logistics costs, inventory and lease journals.
- Manage expenses and costs for the business and perform cost reconciliations
- Ensure accurate reporting and management of intercompany loans
About you:
- A qualification/working towards CIMA/ACA/ACCA or 5 years experience in a varied accounts role
- Knowledge of IFRS reporting standards is desirable although ongoing support will be given
- Strong IT skills with experience of SAP is desirable
- Experience of cost accounting within manufacturing is preferred
- The ability to manage stakeholders and liaise with people across all levels
- A hands on and proactive nature and a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast moving industry
