Looking to take the next step in your career? Our client is seeking a talented Shift Engineer to join their team and contribute to their continued growth.
  
With a large site located close to Hull, you'll be working in a dynamic engineering team looking after operational lines and facility ensuring both reactive and preventative maintenance is completed efficiently.
  
The role of Shift Engineer is a varied one, working closely with production and production management to identify continuous improvement opportunities and ensure the smooth running of all processing lines.
  
The company operate a fixed shift pattern covering Monday to Friday days and afternoons only.

The Shift Engineer role:
  • Maintain service and repair plant machinery to minimise production down time
  • Ensure faults, breakdowns or issues are logged and reported correctly
  • Undertaking reactive maintenance duties and having a proactive approach to all PPM schedules
  • Coordinating stock levels and spare stock availability
  • Liaising with production management to identify efficiency opportunities
  • Sharing knowledge and best practice with machine operators
  • Installation of new equipment
  • Fabrication and general repair work
  
The Candidate:
  • A background in manufacturing environments, ideally with good exposure to both manual and automated production equipment
  • Good experience of managing safety in your daily activities
  • Strong team working capabilities
  • Engineering experience gained within a high speed continuous process industrial environment
  • Knowledge and experience of operating a PPM regime
  • Time served engineering apprenticeship or other recognised and equivalent qualifications
  • Knowledge of Hydraulics, pneumatics, and dust extraction systems would be beneficial
  • Having experience within a high-volume production manufacturing would be highly advantageous
