Senior Commercial Analyst
Location: Watford – Hybrid
Our client are seeking a dynamic Senior Commercial Analyst to join and drive strategy within a recently formed and growing department.
As a Senior Commercial Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to offer reliable insight to facilitate profitable decision making relating to commercial deals across the company product portfolios. The Senior Commercial Analyst will play a crucial role in tracking the profitability and success of commercial offerings and reference them against both established and emerging markets. You will do this through robust financial analysis, market benchmarking and tracking profitability and success of frameworks deals to identify best positioning for longer term strategy.

The Senior Commercial Analyst will play a crucial role in tracking the profitability and success of commercial offerings and reference them against both established and emerging markets. You will do this through robust financial analysis, market benchmarking and tracking profitability and success of frameworks deals to identify best positioning for longer term strategy.

- Develop and enhance pricing capabilities, including customer pricing frameworks, deal pricing support, pricing intelligence, contract compliance monitoring, and local market product intel.
- Support end-to-end involvement in tender and pricing proposals for corporate accounts, providing comprehensive support to the commercial teams throughout the process.
- Manage and analyse contracts, frameworks, and bespoke commercial agreements, ensuring compliance with bandings and minimum spend thresholds.
- Create and maintain commercial modelling tools utilised by the sales team (e.g., Business Cases, Cost Calculators, Framework Tools) to facilitate informed decision-making and collaboration across departments.
- Collaborate with Regional Pricing teams to establish local capabilities and implement a cluster-wide pricing and approval process.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline providing analytical credentials.
- Strong background in commercial finance or commercial sales or analyst post
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in Finance/Business Development roles.
- Experience working with and presenting to senior management.
- Proven ability to work with and analyse large datasets.
- Knowledge of NHS and experience working with NHS wholesalers and distributors preferred.
- Strong business acumen.
- Ability to interpret and analyse complex financial data and present analysis to non-finance audiences.
- Proficiency in Excel and other relevant financial software.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Creative problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Experience with SAP, IBM Cognos, or Microsoft Power BI is desirable.
