Key Responsibilities of the Production Manager:
- Oversee production operations, coordinating and supporting supervisors across multiple lines.
- Develop and implement strategies that improve efficiency, safety, and overall performance.
- Lead teams to consistently achieve and exceed key production metrics.
- Monitor performance and provide detailed reports to senior management.
- Maintain and promote a culture of safety throughout the site.
- Support the continuous improvement initiatives through the application of lean methodologies.
- Work cross-functionally with departments such as Quality, Safety, Warehousing, and Logistics to support overall operational excellence.
- Develop and mentor staff, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Set and support KPI’s for production, safety, and quality.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety, quality, and HR procedures.
- Strong man management experience with a proven ability to meet and exceed production targets.
- A logical, methodical approach with strong analytical and practical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt management style to different teams.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices is a plus.
- Passionate about developing teams and driving change.
