Our client are looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead manufacturing activity on site.

The Production Manager will have a broad remit to ensure daily targets are met across the site operations whilst working to identify and deliver improvements to operations and processes.

This is a great role for a Production Manager with a strong background in manufacturing and robust professional toolkit who is excited by the opportunity to have accountability in delivering meaningful impact to the overall operations efficiencies.

The site operates a mix of continuous and manual production processes in its daily operations.

The Production Manager will be responsible for the sites full operations responsibilities will include:
  • Setting KPI objectives and deliverables for the team
  • Supporting the delivery of production metrics
  • Monitoring performance and reporting appropriately
  • Maintaining a safe working culture
  • Identification and delivery of lean initiatives
  • Managing and developing effective handover protocol for shift teams.
  • Working cross departmentally in developing and deploying systems to support improvement initiatives.
  • Supporting behaviours and aligning initiatives with other functions including Quality, Safety, Warehousing and Logistics in the delivery of broader operational excellence
  • Development and mentoring of staff
  • Fostering a progressively minded culture centred around excellence
  • Ensuring safety, quality and HR procedures are followed.
The Ideal candidate will have:
  • Strong management capabilities with proven experience leading teams and meeting production targets.
  • A logical and methodical approach with good analytical and practical skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and a adaptable approach to management
  • Previous experience of managing shift based teams and driving / cascading initiatives across their operations
  • Passionate and proactive
