Consortium is pleased to be partnering with our client in their search for a Principal Draughtsperson.

As a seasoned Principal Draughtsperson you will have a strong history of managing teams with both Senior and Junior resource, supporting Apprentices and ensuring that engineering designs are produced accurately and on schedule for a variety of projects.

The key roles and responsibilities for the Principal Draughtsperson:
  • Oversee the creation of top-tier engineering drawings
  • Ensure drawing compliance with both company and industry standards.
  • Conduct QA/QC inspections across multiple engineering CAD deliverables and perform self-checks before the approval stage
  • Review and allocate workloads to appropriate team members
  • Oversight of the team's workflow / workload to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Accountable for the team's submissions to the Design Department.
  • Offer specialised knowledge in Engineering CAD.
  • Generate and guide the team in producing diverse CAD drawings using various software tools.
The position is well suited to someone who has:
  • Civil engineering experience
  • Knowledge of Microstation, SolidEdge or similar
  • HND/HNC or equivalent in engineering
  • Team leader experience
Principal Draughtsperson Salary & Benefits:
  • £50,000 to £60,000 per annum
