Consortium is delighted to be supporting our client in the appointment of a skilled Design Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a well-established manufacturing business based in Hull, offering the chance to work on a variety of interesting projects.

You’ll be part of a busy drawing office, producing accurate 2D and 3D designs and models to support ongoing manufacturing and development work. The position also offers scope to collaborate closely with internal teams and occasionally contribute to wider project activities.

If you have a genuine enthusiasm for mechanical engineering and a flair for design, this could be the role for you.

Key responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed 3D models in line with project requirements.
  • Produce precise 2D manufacturing drawings.
  • Ensure all designs meet current industry standards and regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with production and manufacturing colleagues.
We’re looking for someone who:
  • Has hands-on experience in both 2D and 3D design.
  • Understands engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
  • Appreciates DFMA (Design for Manufacture and Assembly).
  • Brings knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices.
Salary & Benefits:
  • £37,000–£42,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
