Job Title: Senior Maintenance Engineer (Mon-Fri Days)
Reports to: Managing Director / Factory Manager
Overall Responsibilities:
As the Senior Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities across our business. Your role is crucial in managing production performance and implementing innovative approaches to enhance food production. You will also be a key holder, with responsibilities for opening or closing the site as needed.

- Deliver a comprehensive maintenance plan.
- Manage daily maintenance activities related to machinery, electrics, plumbing, and general upkeep.
- Collaborate with the Management Team to develop and implement strategies for achieving the company’s future goals.
- Communicate regularly with the Management Team to address maintenance issues and determine appropriate actions.
- Support managers in enhancing production efficiency.
- Ensure all employees receive proper training as per company manuals and train machine users on basic fault fixes.
- Maintain the functionality of all plant, machinery, and drainage systems.
- Manage succession planning to retain and develop key skills and positive attitudes within the team.
- Foster a strong and positive reputation for the business within the industry.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring cost-efficient sourcing of parts while considering warranties.
- Plan and prioritize work in the best interest of the company.
- Assist the Management Team in process formulation and provide innovative recommendations.
- Multi-skilled Maintenance experience within a fast paced manufacturing setting
- Be comfortable with both Reactive Maintenance, PPMs and Improvement Projects
- Proficient in performance and time management
- Effective coordination and technical abilities
- Experience in training and standards development
- Sound decision-making and strategic management capabilities
- Positive and self-motivated approach with a focus on continuous improvement
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and enjoy the job
- Competitive salary ranging from £40,000 to £43,000
- Monday to Friday days role with No nights or weekends
