Accountant

Consortium are pleased to be partnering with this long established, successful and forward thinking food manufacturing business who are looking for an ambitious accounts professional. The role will report to the Financial Controller, confidently acting as their number two in all duties expected in the finance department.

In this role you will be encouraged to bring new ideas, challenge the status quo and have a voice within the business. You will assist with developing the financial systems within the department combined with supporting on projects that will streamline processes.

Main duties:

• Assist in the reporting of monthly financial accounts
• Daily, weekly and monthly duties in all company ledgers
• Control and review of the standard costing of company product database
• Report the monthly stock valuations
• Assist in monthly stock take alongside stock reconciliations
• Ad hoc payroll cover when needed

The successful candidate will need to be AAT Level 4 qualified or nearing completion. You will need to have a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles as well as demonstrating a willingness to learn and contribute with new ideas.
