At Consortium Professional Recruitment, we’re proud to provide platforms where professionals can come together to share challenges, insights, and solutions. Our Supply Chain Forum, led by Hannah Blades, Divisional Director, has quickly become a valued space for leaders across the region to connect, collaborate, and learn from one another.
The latest forum: Packaging & EPR Regulations
Last week, supply chain and procurement professionals gathered at the Ergo Centre in Hessle for the third session in the series. This time, the focus was on packaging and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) regulations, a subject at the top of the agenda for many organisations navigating both compliance and sustainability goals.
The discussion created a lively exchange of ideas around how businesses can prepare for regulatory changes, adapt packaging strategies, and manage supply chain responsibilities effectively. Attendees shared practical examples, frustrations, and best practices, ensuring everyone left with actionable insights to take back to their own organisations.
Building on past sessions
The Supply Chain Forum has grown steadily since its inception:
July 2024 (Inaugural session): The first event brought together leaders to discuss the everyday challenges and frustrations of supply chain management, while highlighting examples of best practice.
December 2024 (Sustainability focus): The second forum welcomed Daniel from Axiom Software, who shared insights into sustainability strategies and digital solutions, sparking valuable conversations about how technology can drive change in supply chain processes.
June 2025 (Packaging & EPR Regulations): The most recent session continued the momentum, exploring compliance and innovation in packaging, underlining the forum’s role in tackling pressing, real-world issues.
Why it matters
By creating a regular meeting place for supply chain professionals, the forum encourages honest, peer-to-peer discussion and knowledge-sharing that helps businesses across the region raise standards and anticipate future challenges.
For Hannah, who launched the forum, the vision has always been clear: to build a collaborative network where supply chain leaders can learn from one another, share frustrations, and collectively explore solutions.
Looking ahead
With three successful sessions already complete, the Supply Chain Forum will continue to evolve as new challenges emerge in the sector. Future sessions will expand on themes such as sustainability, compliance, and digital transformation, ensuring attendees gain practical insights to apply in their day-to-day roles.
At Consortium, we’re incredibly proud of Hannah’s ambition and leadership in building this forum, and we look forward to supporting its continued growth as a key resource for supply chain professionals in the region.
