Brid Business Day

Directors David, Dawn, and Hannah had the pleasure of attending The Business Day held at Bridlington Spa last week, a marquee event featuring keynote speakers, breakout sessions, and networking opportunities across the business community.

A vibrant atmosphere

The programme offered a mix of breakout sessions, panel discussions, and themed networking, all underpinned by the “British Village Countryside Fair” motif, giving the venue a vibrant, informal feel. Delegates from across Hull, East Yorkshire, and beyond made up a diverse audience of businesses large and small.

Our experience & key takeaways

For our team, the day was about more than just listening, it was about participation, conversation, and perspective. Through the breakouts, we engaged in dialogue on emerging trends, regional challenges, and shared opportunities across sectors. Some of the topics that stuck with us were:

  • Shifting business trends: how digital transformation, talent scarcity, and regional growth are intersecting.

  • Collaboration across geographies: the value of forging partnerships with neighbouring businesses and councils.

  • Thoughtful leadership in uncertain times: how transparency, adaptability, and values-based decision-making are becoming more essential.

We’re incredibly grateful to the organisers, speakers, and fellow delegates who made the day engaging and inspiring. The connections we nurtured and ideas we exchanged already feed into how we evolve our services, work culture, and approach to recruitment.
